A fighter in purple and gold trunks holding his guard in the ring at Uphill Boxing

Amateur & pro

For the ones who
actually fight

Uphill Boxing trains amateurs toward sanctioned bouts and keeps pros sharp between fights. Jalen Hill Sr. is in the corner on fight night, not just on the gym floor.

The path to a first bout

It starts the same way it does for everyone — fundamentals, conditioning, rounds. What changes is the standard. Once your defense holds up, you move into controlled sparring with people your size and level. When Jalen says you're ready, he registers you and works your corner.

Sparring is earned

Nobody spars on day one, and nobody gets fed to a better fighter to make a point. Headgear, mouthpiece, supervision, every round.

Pros between camps

Working professionals train in the same room and hold the room to a standard. Mitts, sparring partners, and honest feedback on tape when you want it.

One coach, every session

You aren't handed to a rotating instructor list. Jalen owns the gym and coaches it, which means he knows what you did last Tuesday and what you're avoiding.
